Country View Golf Course

Ron Garl came by in 1989 and finally gave the city of Lancaster a golf course to be proud of. Billy Martindale’s failed attempts to establish a course, followed by the city taking over the old Pecan Hollow Golf Club, eventually resulted in Garl coming in to build a truly unique course.

No. 7 is the most difficult hole–a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for No. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of the tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Getting there : From I-35 south exit Beltline Rd. and drive east 4 miles to the course. The course is on the right-hand side.
