Richmond Golf Courses
Leon Roberts upgraded this 9-hole facility in the 1960s, adding an additional nine to the former cattle lands on the outskirts of Houston. Roberts' design is short but difficult, loaded with pecan trees and known for its signature small greens and tough finishing holes that route around Rabbs Bayou.

The Grove Nine features flat, narrow fairways and is the longest of the three courses. No. 5 stands out because of its length (436 yards) and the fact that it's almost mandatory to cut the corner of the dogleg to avoid a monstrous approach shot.

The Plantation Nine features five ponds that impact play on six holes, in addition to heavy bunkering and a good amount of out-of-bounds. The best hole is No. 2, a long par 4 that doglegs right with bunkers covering both the bend in the fairway and each side of the green.

The 1999 Rees Jones ShadowHawk GC is a traditional course that routes around a 70-acre irrigation lake and is highlighted by numerous pecan trees. For the most part this one is hacker-friendly, with generous landing areas.
