GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Cimarron Hills, Texas' premier private golf and country club community, is pleased to announce the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is now open for play to members.

"The golf course at Cimarron Hills has turned out to be even better than we expected, and here, we had high expectations," said Nicklaus. "The natural characteristics of this beautiful property have been used to create a course that will challenge players of all skill levels, and several outstanding water features on 18 will make for a memorable finish."

Situated at the edge of the Texas Hill Country, along the picturesque San Gabriel River, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Cimarron Hills is blanketed by tall oaks and features bentgrass greens. The 18-hole, par-72 course measures 6,429 yards from the Cimarron (Members) tees and the course stretches to 7,302 yards on the Bear tees. The Rose tees, measuring 5,059 yards, offer a fair and magnificent golf experience for female members and guests.

"The unique character of this course, the native trees, and the rolling hills will provide one of the finest golf experiences in Texas," Nicklaus concluded. The course blends in naturally with its surroundings, featuring deep bunkers and several lakes and waterfalls.

The San Gabriel River runs throughout the property and comes in to play on many of the holes to offer a beautiful, yet challenging golf experience. The water feature that begins between the 18th and 19th greens (that's right, there is a 71-yard 19th hole for players to use to break ties and enjoy as a practice hole) cascades down the left side of No. 18 and "pools" in front of the par-3, 17th green. Jack Nicklaus will "officially" open his Signature Course at Cimarron Hills on April 16th when he plays the course for the first time since it was completed.

The course was opened for play to members on January 1, 2003.

Over 85-percent of the available homesites offer ideal settings either along the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, along the green belts, bordering the San Gabriel River or at the waters edge of the 14-acre man-made lake.

Club cottages bring 5-star luxury experience to Texas Hill Country

In the spirit of the Casitas at Las Campanas, Cimarron Hills introduces its Club Cottages, secluded Texas Hill Country retreats that offer the five star services of the country's most exclusive hotels with the added merit of "country club membership by the day."

Guests staying in each of the five exclusive cottages have all the rights and privileges of a full member during their visit. Full access includes golf with forecaddie, or a day of fitness, swimming and tennis. In the evening, dinner is served in the dining room or on the terrace of the Poolhouse surrounded by live Oak trees, sparkling water and Tuscan ambiance.

"Cimarron Hills is a destination experience," said Garth Chambers, developer of Cimarron Hills. "The Cottages are designed to accommodate out-of-town guests so that they may truly experience the Cimarron Hills way of life by enjoying a luxurious weekend of golf and relaxation."

The Cottages are currently being reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis. Exquisitely designed and decorated by renowned architect and designer Mike Marsh, each of the cottages is available for weekday or weekend stays beginning in July 2003. The cottages, quaint and perfectly nestled amongst the tall Oaks of the Texas Hill Country, offer guests very private and secluded accommodations. Each cottage can accommodate four unrelated couples in the independent lock-out suites or any combination of the suites can have access to the main living, dining and entertainment areas. A private practice green for chipping or putting also beckons each guest, just outside the cottage doors.

The club cottage package will include the services of a concierge to accommodate any of the guests needs such as airport pick-up, dinner reservations, tee times and massage treatments. Upon arrival, a valet will escort guests to their cottage.
