ROUND ROCK, Texas - Forest Creek Golf Club is located just north of Austin. The golf course is a Dick Phelps design from 1990 and is set through a newer upscale residential community. It's very walker-friendly, with a modest local membership, and there are exceptional practice facilities here, from a three-tiered driving range to multiple short game greens.

Forest Creek Golf Club features four sets of tees stretching to 7,147 and plays on gently rolling land. There are a lot of dogleg rights here, so slicers and faders will have a shot to cut some corners. The par-4 18th, however, is one hole that requires some precision, as even from the right side of the fairway you don't have much of a shot to the elevated green guarded by trees on the right side.
