Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek serves up two Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses.
The West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper.
Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and No. 7 might be the most difficult on the course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard No. 17 that plays along a lake.
