The links-style Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the “Best New Public Courses” in the state when it opened in 1988, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes.

Getting there : From I-35, get off at the Western Center Blvd. exit and drive to Club Gate Dr.

Course is in great shape, regardless of the time of year. During poor weather or very slow days you might not see a cart girl, but that is not the most important thing to me. The cart girls are out and the mid-course snack bar is open when business warrants.

Can be a little pricey at peak times, but the course and staff are great!
